Thought I better get a shot of the snow falling before the wind gods blow it all away. Taken at 0600 hours, temperate 15 c winds N13.
It’s been a long time since the old machine has had any snow on it, remember those times I had to dig it out? I do.

It’s also been many weeks since I have ridden the old machine too, may give Fran a ride to work.
“Have a nice day”, do people still say that down southern Canada I wonder. It was one of the things that stuck out for me when first traveling around Ontario. That and the fact lots of men had all this jewelry on their fingers and around their necks.

Ruby can not control what the police doe's, eh? Sounds like Ruby has some Canadian English refresher classes to attend before getting in front of the camera again as one of the Liberal attach dogs. But she is still the consummate political animal sure.
Later:
An Anomaly. A CBC reporter in HV-GB hade a call from a listener in Rigolet early this morning. Seems the residents of Rigolet were awoken at 1.50’ish this morning by a bright and loud lightning and thunder bolt. The lightning hit ground some place close, took out the power in the community, it took an hour to get it back up. Temperatures were in the minus at the time, there is a large low over a lot of Labrador. It was snowing at the time of the thunder; just after that hail stones fell, then back to snow.
People in the community checked out the reason for the power going out, no sign as yet as to any downed lines, the hydro workers rebooted and power came back up.
Schools are closed as far north as Postville and into the Lake Melville area mainly due to blowing snow.
All air transport is on weather hold to the coast, some roads are closed too.
