The Paul’s have been in town for several days doing some shopping and whatever else goes with preparing for a winter in a boat frozen the ice.

There has been more work done on the stern section. Lichen has been stuffed down between the boughs and the tonneau cover for insulation, same thing on the top under the tarp. Some sort of apparatus will be built for the entrance section too.

I I ran into them in Northern yesterday afternoon, “getting some supplies before the prices go up when they start flying stuff in”. For sure they have been doing their research.

I found this link interesting in its reference to snow scooter and the amount of bears that populate the area.
There are a lot of words to describe that article, but not wanting to be undiplomatic lets just say there are some slight exaggerations.

Following on with the Marine Shipping Debacle: The manager of BigLand was interviewed on CKOK yesterday. The transcript covers part of the conversation, not a lot more was revealed in the audio that WE don’t know.

The revealing factor is the complete silence from our MHA and the Government. In past years there was always some reaction be it to defend the indefensible or to throw water on the fire on a temporary go forward basis. Now we get nada.

I would suggest that the photos be forwarded to the media post haste, no need to wait for any response from Government, it is way too late for that. Beside, it has been proven that you always get a reaction of some sort from this government if you can present the evidence of their incompetence or lack of sensitivity to rural areas, especially if they hold the seat.

Then again maybe we just don’t have the numbers for them to really give a rat’s arse. Then again then again, there is the NG to act as a cushion, to take the heat without having any access to the water truck to douse the fire.

Perhaps posting the pictures to an international audience is what is needed. Political Apathy deserves all the love and publicity it can stand.
