Maybe, but I have two little Inukuluks who say it is in North West River, that wins IMO.

The third picture is in Cartwright, the man is Albert Bird who travelled with the nurses....the last picture looks like the ski-doo owned by a teacher in Cartwright,Dick Holt, looks like his wife Nancy on it,she was from New York I think, she was one of my teachers,my buddy bought the ski-doo when they moved away.Tony Roberts,St.Anthony.

The 3rd photo was taken in Cartwright. I don't think that's Albert Bird in the photo though...I think it's my dad. My mom is there holding a bag, ready to go on the mission plane. The red-haired woman is nurse, Barbara Lethbridge who was married to my uncle.

Interesting debate going here, will have to post more pictures later.

Me being just the messenger [all I have is a disk with NWR etc on it} I bow to others more intermit with time and place.

From my end we offer up that it most likely is Cartwright in said pictures. Barb Lethbridge is the lady with red hair, not known if it is Albert Bird or other. Though my wife did know the Birds when she was there in hospital.

The woman on the ski doo in the last picture is definitely June Stewart [who sent the disk of pictures], my wife worked with her for about two years, remembers her always wearing that coat.

The lady wearing the blue coat holding the bags is my mom. She was going on the mission plane at the time...she remembers. The hill behind them is Black Head, and the big oil tank in the far left of the photo is still here...it is Cartwright. (I was born here and I'm still here.) :)
