Fungi II

Seems the short end of the weather stick was pointed at lab City yesterday, after their record hot they cooled down to the mid teens, we on the other hand received the sharper end, up to 21c official, nice breeze, not a fly to bother us on the hills.

Picked berries until the back started to complain then hunted for more shrooms, here is my latest offing, one is off a spider web with the remnants of the rain the day before.

The hole near the house being dug to replace the water valve is getting larger and larger. Seems the more they dig the more it caves in. Very puggy at the bottom making it difficult to get enough space, for long enough, to put a concrete base under where the valve will go.

Great pictures! Love the berries and also the mushies.
See the pic in the middle with the one mushroom, what are those tiny white things that look like golf tees in the top right corner?

Very observant Shammichite,

That is the 5th tee at the Nain Bay Country Club, will have to speak to the green keeper, forgot to mow the tees for a month by look of it.

Seriously though, they are mushrooms too, have notice quite a lot of tiny ones of all shapes, don’t bother to capture them usually, your keen eye pointed them out for me in this picture.

Although these are "past their best before date" this red variety is what is most often consumed around here. Theres a smaller one with a orange tint that can be eaten as well, I'll try and get a pic of one soon.

Fried in butter they will reduce to less than half their size and are delicious. Some people even bottle them with onions after frying.

Hope the picture works

J’sus, youz got a liquor store in Northern, best we can do is a BMO in the post office, what’s wrong with that? Rhetorically speaking.

Have seen many mushrooms with the red tinge up here, not as large as your photograph, thanks for your input MM.

LOL no shortage of booze here, theres a convenience store with beer and two bars besides the liquor outlet.

Getting back to the shrooms, most of the ones you have in your pictures I was taught to avoid by my parents, I dont know if that means they're poisonous but I wouldnt want to test 'em eh!
