Baguettes go north.

Back in March 07 I wrote about the adventures of a certain baguette ice climbing and stuff.

Well baguette has long gone on to serve mankind in a higher culinary way, but some of her cousins have been recorded on another adventure, this time up in the Torngat National Park of all places.

The first picture left has baguettes studying a chert deposit, bear monitor Snook stands guard; one never knows what will sneak up on you when you taste as good as baguettes.

The second picture has Snook guarding the gear while waiting to relocate camp, she even ignores the amazing view in the line of duty, that's professionalism for you.

There is supposed to be a puzzle about where baguettes is in this picture, but I guessed it right away, just use common sense, where would you be if you were baguettes?

Third picture has baguettes soaking up the rays and the scents of the wild Torngats.

She looks a little worse for wear in this shot, so would you if you were carted all over the place in a back pack, or perhaps she is feeling down knowing what fate awaits tasty baguettes.

Snook is an alpha female who I am told is one hell of a dog to have around when bears are of a concern, more so if any turn up. The word is she rules her pack with a gentle but firm mouth.

The above pictures and background information are courtesy of Labrador Wild North Expeditions.

Those baguettes are an adventuresome species. We've had a few here from time to time. One day they're here... next day gone!

Yes, those baguettes don’t hang around long. These up here are a different breed than most, durable 12 grainish, kind of heavy, last a longer time than southern types I would think, non the less they still just seem to disappear without warning.
