Sweet indulgence break.


Knocked up this pie on the weekend, it's all gone now.



Since there is no longer Robin Hood flaky pastry flour on the market I have reverted back to making my own from scratch. The other brand [made by Robin Hood] is the pits.

Actually I think it should be an election issue, BRING BACK THE FLAKY.

It is always hit and miss making my own but this one came out AOK.

I call it 'hint of blueberry apple pie'.

Those berries look wonderful. No frozen blocks of pastry in Nain?

Should dig out Mum's recipe for shortcut pastry.

Dusting of icing sugar next time!

There are varieties of frozen pie bases, not like the 'flaky' though, rather go with making own.

No dustings up this way, some times I add sprinkling of sugar.
