Some more scenes of the gardens walk.
From just outside the gardens wall you can see garden island docks and this finger wharf that has been converted into high end condos. It is alleged that in one of these end ones Russel Crow resides.
It is a bit of a conundrum these 'finger wharves'. Originally used as working wharves unloading freighters from all over the world they are now converting many of them into condos of the very expensive kind all around the harbor, many also have large to very large yachts moored outside.
Some think the gentrification of the harbour takes something away from it's character. For me large working ship watching is quite exciting, more so than expensive condo watching.
For our last meal in the city we had 'Byrnes red ale roo' at Harts pub in the Rocks. Kind of weird local the pub being an older building right at the foot of the bloody large Shangre-la Hotel next door.
Accompanied with the roo was two pints of the red ale, not a bad drop, one of 12 hand crafted beers on tap.
