The Nunatsiavut Department of Health and a couple of local stores have come together in an effort to gather food items for the annual Christmas hampers hand out.
For a couple of weeks now there have been receptacles in the stores with a notice asking for donations of non perishable food items.

Donations must have been a bit slow for the Northern manager so he introduced an incentive; for every $8 value of donation you would receive a ticket to be entered in a draw for a prize.

Things still did not up tick to his taste it seems, so now he has this bit of encouragement [or is it blackmail] up.

The manager did ask for permission, I thought our donation was moderate but manager thinks otherwise.


If we all pray hard enough maybe the Astron will be permanently anchored off [where it has been most of the week] Makkovik.
And may Dennis White and his band of merry arseholers have turkeys with wooded legs for Xmas.
