Great action pictures of the water bomber. I wonder if there are any corrosion problems in the water tanks when the water bomber has to pick up salt water for the fires, as opposed to lake water.

Could be an issue, not really sure. Coincidently the provincial government cancelled an order of new planes earlier this year stating the economic downturn as the reason, plus Bombardier would not give them guarantees.

....That's unfortunate. The Canadair is the best water bomber out there in use. Sure, they could do like the Americans and convert old P-3C's, but where would they land? They'd have to fly to Goose Bay to re-tank. The Russians have a Beriev Seaplane water bomber. But no one has bought any.
