Fall colors in full bloom.

The growing medium up here is less than a foot most places. This is also a very exposed area to westerly winds, hence the stunted growth of the trees and shrubs.
It is one of my favorite places near town.

Inukshuk overlooking Nain and Trouser Lake, the soon to be the towns water supply.

Stunning scenery and colours. I like the contrast betweem the grey rock and the gold of the vegetation. And appreciate it while you can, it will soon be covered in that white stuff!

Thanks for the reminder, not that we needed it. Then again who knows eh?
But before the white stuff comes the drabness of the browns and grays and dark greens of the late fall early winter.
