Big momma nature shows whose boss once again. A brand new bulk ship gets popped around like a cork. Or in the recent case off the Labrador, encased in ice.
Not to make light of the situations, just to point out that man has no control over nature, much to some peoples chagrin.

Appreciate your blog very much. Just curious - VB says the Umiak has sailed but all the shipping channels are still closed to ice. Is it still out in the bay - or did she sail?
To best of my knowledge she is still in at Edwards Cove loading.
Maybe Inco shareholders used their prayers and ESP to transport it magically over the ice floes.
