Well the central and west panel on Labrador Mornings series on transport ‘the road ahead’ was most underwhelming. The pod cast will be up later.
Nothing new, nothing to see here, move on then.

Both southern and central seem to be pushing Cartwright as a transport hub for the north, not very convincing arguments and Dave in central was all over the place on the issue as is his want, Cartwright or maybe Lewisport or maybe Goose Bay, must cover all bases.

Given the road and sea routes at the moment, plus the lack of any wholesale distributors in southern how can they realistically expect that to wash with the end users.

I can see Cartwright in terms of the ideal location, but hardly in terms of a ready supply base. Maybe the NG could buy or lease one of those bargain cargo freighters that are gutting the market, and work out a trade plan to really suit it's citizens. For sure it would help them export good's like the stone they have. Instead of dead heading loads to markets, they can gain the needed permissions and cash to load up wanted goodies back home. Bring them back to Cartwright and sell all over Labrador. The Naval Reserve is desperate to employ potential new sailors too. So the manpower costs would be spread as well.
