Victoria Day +1

So yesterday turned out to be a great day, around +8 with a breeze in off harbor.
The Inuktitut Story telling Festival went off well. It was held in two tents near the ball field. Many elders had lots to say, all was recorded for future TV shows and use in language retention programs, as well as historical archival. Some scenes of tea break above.
Festival will continue today but in the sports-plex, it is predicted that weather will not be as kind.

I hope that the footage will be duplicated and stored in two separate locations. You know why.

Yes indeed WJM, I am reminded a couple of times a day, most days.
One would think that lessons have been learned, I am almost sure they have.

In this case we are referring to the loss to fire, last March, of the largest office complex in Nain. Tragic loss of archival material of two organizations. No loss of life.
I/we all, walk past the empty lot in middle of town every day, hence the reminder quote.

As to power outages, we have had a number this year, one for 6 + hours on May 5. None were scheduled.
