I took in a couple hours of the Language Conference yesterday, day three, final day.Many faces from conferences past with a sprinkling of new and the young.
One can hope that the messages get across and are acted on in a timely [read quick] manner. Advisedly; I would not hang by the short and curlies.
Everybody will be pleased to hear that BigLand received some potato's on the last Ranger.
10lb bags of washed PEI spuds for $,6.99. Now that might seem a lot to some, but when you compere it to the $18.00 for the equivalent 10lb for the ones they flew in.
We had a good dump of rain yesterday, odd light showers in the morning then heavier started in the afternoon and is still coming down this morning.

The last pic -- The guy behind the portable glass partition -- is he doing translations? And is that why certain people are wearing headsets?
Also -- Fourth pic, the lady in the yellow shirt. Is that your wife?
Yes PD, that is Wilson Jararuse in behind the translation screen, out of site next to him is Rita Andersen; both do tremendous work over the course of a conference of this length.
The tech guy is to the left managing all the controls. Signal is wireless, two channels on a receiver with the headsets wired into it, clip it on your pocket and away you go.
That sure is my baby in yellow.
