Weathered in.

For those who would like to check out some photos of Nain circa 1966/67 there is no better place than this site http://www.naindiary.blogspot.com/

Very windy at moment, just came in from fruitless efforts to dig a path to the road, it was filling in behind me almost as quick as I was digging it. No big deal up here though, we just let the snow build up on roads, ski doos are way to go from now on. We did not get the big dumps that south of here got, what we do have, and it is a good lot, half of it will end up on the Labrador Sea. West winds are the norm after a good snow fall, shame that.
Mail and freight is backing up in Goose Bay by now, only had two days fit for flying in last week.

Ah yes, I remember those days of shoveling driveways all day long because you couldn't get ahead of it with the wind.

I do miss the snow in Labrador, I gotta say. Here in St. John's, it's just gross and sloppy. I miss the hours and hours I spent on ski-doo back in the day and I definatly have to get home for a great ride again soon.

Here's hoping you get your mail soon.

Thanks for the link some great pics there!

I must say though I was surprised to see 22 rifles? I thought they were banned in NL because they were considered a poachers rifle?

We don’t have poachers up here; we have hunters with Aboriginal rights ;-}

Seriously though, I am not familiar with any ban of 22 rifles, there is a ban on using 22-250 rifles when hunting deer or bears etc. 22-250 can be used on seals I think.
22 bolt action and semi autos are used all the time for small game. It may be a special rule for this area, I just take things for granted and usually don’t look at the larger picture, some times the larger picture makes sense, some times not.

That is seriously one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the internet. And I've seen a lot. Damn.
